Man of Steel hits cinemas this weekend and we at Burton are ‘super’ excited to check out this flick! Directed by Zack Snyder (who also directed 300!), Man of Steel features Superman in another attempt to save the world, battling against General Zod, the rogue leader from the planet of Krypton whilst struggling to come to terms with his special gifts.
The film has received some pretty strong reviews from some of our trusted sources (Total Film, Empire, Rotten Tomatoes), so on Friday night, instead of hitting the pub for a post work pint, we’re going to hot foot it to the movies and check out Man of Steel. And once we get home? We’ll we’re putting on our Superman onesie of course and re-enacting the whole film all over again!
Check out more superhero themed onesies, and let us know what you make of the film if you go this weekend!

We’ve got this Bank Holiday hit list to help you make the MOST of your 3 day weekend!
Festival season kicks off this bank holiday weekend with a couple of corkers! WE R FESTVL is set to take over Essex on Saturday with a jam packed Elec-tastic line up and Field Day takes over Victoria Park for the day with another massive roster of artists performing on the day! We’d highly recommend kicking off your festival fun for the year with one of these events!
Ok, we’ve looked at the weather forecast and it’s not exactly looking like shorts and tees weather. When the heavens open make your way to the cinema and catch one of the new releases including Fast & Furious 6 (read our review here), The Great Gatsby or The Hangover III (our guilty pleasure!), check out the trailer above and TRY to tell us this won’t be worth a watch!
You can’t beat a Bank Holiday weekend food fest. We’re thinking Saturday street eats whilst we’re out and about, Sunday roast and Monday hangover burgers! We’ve put our faith in the Shortlist ‘search for the UKs best burger’ and not been let down! So find a burger joint near you and try it out for yourself and cure that hangover!
Happy Bank Holiday weekend to one and all!
If like us you’re a bit of a petrol head and you like movies full of none stop action then we bet you might just be off to see the sixth installment of boy racer franchise Fast and Furious this weekend. Luckily for you lot we managed to get into a bursting at the seams packed out sneak preview of FAST 6 this week and are here to tell you whether it’s worth spending that cash on cinema tickets or extra beer money this weekend! No need to thank us – there’s worse ways to spend a Monday night, right?!
We see all the old favourite faces returning – Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and of course Michelle Rodriguez who plays Letty – Vin Diesel’s love interest who supposedly died in the fourth film. Agent Hobbs played by super buff Johnson enlists the crews help to bring down a ruthless mercenary organisation with the promise of amnesty for previous crimes committed which of course leads the way to all sorts of adrenaline-fueled bother and explosive action…
So the big question, worth a trip down the local Odeon or wait for the DVD? Our official stance – we loved it! This definitely deserves to be seen on the big screen and is easily the best sequel we’ve seen yet and we already can’t wait to see the next one. The film was also made in London so it’s fun to recognize the bits of Canary Wharf that pop up and check out some awesome skyline shots of the capital – filmed at 5am when everyone else was tucked up in bed.
Action packed all the way through, does what it says on the tin, good old fashioned American cheese with a good old dose of hotties – check your brain at the door and enjoy the ride!
