Earlier this week a team from Burton HQ took to the streets (and canals, and rooftops!) of East London to shoot our Key Looks for Summer feature.
First stop was Netil House rooftop where photographer Clare Shillard caught some shots of our models George and Matt.
Next up, the team took a walk down the canals just off Broadway Market, and finally finished up with some shots in the pub!
Luckily the weather held out for us! Check out the view!
Being big tough blokes (grrrrrr!) we’ve got a few adventures planned for the summer. Alright, it’s only a couple of festivals and a few BBQs in the park, but we’re PREPARED for what these excursions might throw at us all thanks to the top survival tips given by Paul ‘Chalky’ White, a survival consultant who’s got bags of experience working with the Military!
To coincide with the release of extreme survival thriller Deadfall, in cinemas today, we asked Paul to give us his top 5 tips for coping with the outdoors.
“If we have not had time to prepare and find ourselves in a survival situation in an extreme weather environment, the only things we have to help us survive are skills and knowledge, and of course an individual’s will to survive. So here are my top tips:
1. Learn basic first aid – recognise the early signs of frostbite, dehydration and heat stroke to treat it before medical attention is required.
2. Always have on you the knowledge and means of starting a fire – fires are vital in both keeping you warm, boiling water so you can drink it safely and attracting rescue teams!

3. Wear your clothes loose and in layers and always cover your hands, feet, head and ears when it’s cold.
4. Strive to keep your clothing and shoes dry and clean -bring a bin bag to either protect your dry clothes from getting wet or store your wet clothes in to stop them dampening other garments.
5. Take any opportunity to eat or store food – if the worst should happen, you’ll be glad of that complimentary biscuit.

“We’re all quite familiar with how indecisive and down-right frustrating the weather can be, which is why – even in Summer – I always make sure I have a decent sweater to hand. Whether it’s lazing in the park or in the cooler evenings this block stripe sweater will do the job. Wear with an Oxford shirt, chinos and a brown leather belt ensemble for a stylish but laid back look. This item is an Online Exclusive so you blog-readers are already a step ahead.

The hottest trend in knitwear has just touched down at Burton stores across the country and here to tell you how to wear this spring must have is our knitwear buyers admin assistant, Holly Smith.
“The knitted polo is the perfect transition piece to wear as the weather starts to warm up – without you getting caught out if a cold snap strikes because lets face it, who knows what the weather in England will do! My personal favourite is the navy polka dot option which complements a pair of dark jeans fantastically. I always love when my friend wears his with a heritage blazer when we go out because it is my favourite outfit in his wardrobe. ”
“These garments are so versatile and fantastic value as they can be worn throughout the winter, but are also lightweight enough to wear during the Great British summer time. They make a refreshing change from the usual cotton options out there. A fantastic way to smarten a casual pair of jeans for those long summer evenings at the pub or chilling in the garden at a family BBQ.”
Ok so firstly if you haven’t gone to see the smash hit and sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat action thriller Olympus Has Fallen then what on earth are you waiting for? Wicked Saturday night move in our eyes and definitely one to fight for over getting dragged along by the missus to the latest rom-com.
Secondly why not take a leaf of the stars book and steal some of that top tailoring style? Well we’re here to show you how…
Action movie hero Gerard always likes to stand out from the crowd – proud to be know as a snapper dresser – and the women love him for it. Pick yourself up a slick blue suit like this gent and you could look as cool as him…
So not quite as much of a ladies man as old Butler but still dresses to impress none the less. Pick up a well cut slim fit black suit like Aaron and it will see you through weddings, awards do’s, races and lots more big days to come.
If you fall into the category of the older gent then you can still stay on trend when it comes to your formal look. Be brave like Mr Freeman and try a blazer this summer if you don’t fancy going the whole hog. Black shirt optional.
If that wasn’t enough we’re giving you the chance to WIN the ultimate gaming package in our exclusive competition – just head over to our Facebook page now and enter your details! Easy!
